Fluo-ST1
The surface treatment Fluo-ST1 from Emulseo is composed of fluoroalkylsilanes that are chemically reactive to plasma etched glass and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surfaces.
After treatment, a uniform fluorophilic layer is covalently attached to surfaces of the microfluidic devices and especially allows a better performance and stability of aqueous droplets formed in fluorinated oils.
Fluo-ST1 is adapted for use with Emulseo’s surfactants and oils.
Fluo-ST2
The surface treatment Fluo-ST2 from Emulseo is a clear, low viscosity, low surface tension solution of a fluorosilane polymer carried in a hydrofluoroether solvent.
The coating covalently bonds to a variety of surfaces including glass, PDMS, COC/COP, PMMA and PC and dries in a thin film with excellent hydrophobic properties. It allows a better performance and stability of aqueous droplets formed in fluorinated oils.
Fluo-ST2 is adapted for use with Emulseo’s surfactants and oils.
Fluo-ST3
Fluo-ST3 is a fluorophilic surface treatment composed of a fluoroalkylsilane dissolved in a perfluorinated polyether solvent. Fluo-ST3 is a clear solution with low viscosity, low interfacial tension and compatible with a wide range of materials including glass, PDMS, COC/COP, PMMA and PC.
After treatment, a uniform layer is covalently attached to the treated surfaces, making the walls of the microfluidic channels hydrophobic and fluorophilic. This treatment allows a better formation and stability of droplets generated in fluorinated oils.
Fluo-ST3 is especially adapted for use with Emulseo’s surfactants and oils.
